Launch Control – activation in the ECU software
Software activation of the Launch Control function in the engine control unit on supported applications where the hardware and software allow it.
The launch rpm is set according to the vehicle, the transmission and your specification. The file is prepared for the exact software and hardware version.
Requests are submitted from a DR-files account. If you are not signed in, you will be asked to sign in or register first. The selected service is kept.
Service details
Launch Control puts a heavy load on the clutch, the transmission and the drivetrain. The function is prepared only for applications where the ECU software supports it, and we recommend using it with the condition of the vehicle in mind.
Required information
- Vehicle manufacturer, model, year and engine code
- ECU manufacturer, hardware and software number (if known)
- Complete original file read from the control unit, the tool and the read method used
- Transmission type, requested launch rpm and any hardware modifications

- The fixed price in credits is deducted when the request is submitted. The file is prepared for the exact software version and checked before delivery.
- On vehicles with an automatic transmission a TCU software change may also be needed (see TCU calibration).
