Engine swap – ECU calibration after an engine conversion
Control unit calibration for engines or control units fitted into another vehicle (engine swap, conversion): first start, adaptation of the peripherals and base calibration.
Each request is assessed according to the source and target configuration and quoted before any work starts.
Requests are submitted from a DR-files account. If you are not signed in, you will be asked to sign in or register first. The selected service is kept.

Describe in detail the original vehicle, the engine and ECU donor, the retained and removed components (sensors, transmission, CAN bus) and the goal of the conversion. Some combinations need wiring or hardware changes that go beyond the software part.
Required information
- Target vehicle and engine donor including the engine code
- ECU manufacturer, hardware and software number (if known)
- Complete original file read from the control unit, the tool and the read method used
- List of retained and removed components, transmission, condition of the wiring and the bus

Technical notes
- The price in credits is confirmed in the request after review. Nothing is charged before you accept it.
- Requests related to the immobiliser or to bypassing vehicle security are not accepted.
Frequently asked questions
What can be solved in software and what cannot?
The software can adapt missing or changed sensors, the transmission, cooling and fuel strategies and suppress the fault codes of removed components. Wiring, the CAN bus and mechanical parts have to be handled by the workshop.
How does the request work?
Submit the request with a description of the configuration. We assess it, propose the procedure and the price in credits; the work starts once you accept the price, often in several steps with logs.
